Having a Baby Naturally by Peggy O’Mara

having a baby naturallyHighlights: In Having a Baby Naturally: The Mothering Magazine Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth, O’Mara covers all the information we want to know when pregnant.

She outlines pregnancy through the trimesters, with special attention to common concerns at each stage and women’s feelings about their babies, their bodies, their work and partnerships during pregnancy and after giving birth.

Lowlights: All at once, the book would be a hefty read. We use it more as a reference guide, reading about a particular subject.

Why We Like It: Lyndsey liked it so much she bought copies for herself and Kelly. We appreciate O’Mara’s conversational, reassuring and thoughtful tone. Plus she offers interesting tidbits for second and third time moms.

Child’s Age: Pregnancy through postpartum.
