Braun Hand Blender

braun hand blender & chopperOur favorite baby food maker is the Braun Hand Blender & Chopper. Inexpensive, compact and easy to use. Most important–great baby food consistency. Creamy not mealy.

It also comes with attachments we’ve used to mix smoothies, soups and cakes (for us, not the babies).

For baby food: a little baked yam, a little warm water, pulse a few times and yam puree ready to eat. We reuse glass baby food jars to store our homemade in the fridge for a day or two.

For more detail about starting solids, read about Oliver’s First Foods.
