Water Painting in the Backyard

We discovered this great outdoor activity in a Waldorf toddler program–painting with water.

A wide-ish paint brush, a bucket of water, some paintable surface (wall, patio, sidewalk, house) and you’re ready to go.

Toddlers and preschoolers love to cover the area. The best surfaces turn a darker color when wet so they can see their work.

A fun project for a warm spring afternoon.

Materials:
Paint brush
Bucket or pail
Water (of course)
