Natural Toys for Preschool Boys

Fagus wood truckHere are some great natural toys that have become our kids’ favorites. Many are great for girls as well.

1. Fagus Wood Trucks. We’ve experimented with lots of different wood trucks, Fagus trucks are sturdy, fun and easy for kids to maneuver.

2. Cooking Equipment. For the budding chef in pretend and actual kitchens–a set of wooden utensils, a junior bake set, stainless steel pots and pans, the chef’s set of apron, mitt and hat or check out Williams-Sonoma kid’s aprons.

3. Plan City Roadway System. Start with the basic model and add trucks or more roadways if desired. Easy for kids to put the wide streets together, and everything’s lightweight.

4. Building Blocks. The tried and true for building houses, fire stations and the occasional fairy palace.

5. Garden Tools and Apron. Great tools for digging up worms, planting a pot or just messing around. You can also add a pair of gardening gloves.
