Jurlique

Jurlique is an organic skin care line made in Australia. We love everything about it–from the way the products make our skin feel to the simple packaging.

Jurlique grows their herbal ingredients on their own organic, biodynamic farm. Their plant based products nourish and rejuvenate.

Some favorites for us: Herbal Recovery Gel, Wrinkle Softener Cream (odd name, good night/eye cream), Day Care Face Cream (for dry skin/climates), Eye Gel, and the famous Pure Rosewater Freshener (which the older kids also love).

We’ve noticed that several Jurlique products contain ingredients that the organic skin care site Saffron Rouge puts on their Black List, ingredients that Saffron Rouge considers unacceptable in organic products. Our research leads us to avoid these ingredients as well, at least in products that we use every day.

So we tried other organic face care lines–and came back to Jurlique.

This time we’ve shifted to Jurlique face wash, toners and moisturizers that do not contain Black List ingredients. There are plenty to choose from, so we’re finding new favorites–and hoping stores like Saffron Rouge inspire Jurlique to further refine their formulas.
