Simple Tips

Natural Spider Spray

We’re apparently in the middle of spider season.

They’re everywhere.

Luckily, we discovered a potion. A wise woman shared her recipe for a natural essential oil spray that works.

We prepare a batch with the kids–call it spider brew, and treat the cracks along the floors and moldings, the dark corners under our beds.

Spider spray works for other bugs too.

For extra spidery neighborhoods (like Kelly’s), knocking down the webs around doorways and windows can reduce the spiders inside the house. We use a broom or a special spider brush available at some hardware and garden stores.

Natural Spider Spray

Spray bottle
4 drops thyme*
8 drops lemongrass
4 drops lavender
4 drops peppermint
1 1/2 cups water

Pour water into spray bottle, add drops, shake and use.

*These essential oils are usually available at local health food stores.
