Simple Tips
Slowing Down to Smell the Flowers
Summer is here–the season for barbeques, vacations, camps, swim lessons and for some of us, ice skating competitions. We can forget that what our kids love most is our presence and spending some slow time with us.
We take a meandering walk with them, collect a few sticks and rocks, pick flowers and arrange them in a vase, lie on our backs on the grass to look at the clouds.
The small moments of taking a breath or holding a little hand in a loving way ground us in the present. We feel calmer, and our children do too.
