- What can I do for a two year old who is hooked on the bottle, and for the mom who has been allowing it? (I am equally as hooked.) I know that the rule is off the bottle by one-ish, but that did not happen for us. As a source of comfort and quiet, we have all learned to love that bottle. What do I do? Help! There have to be some tricks out there.

- My son has been using the potty for the past few months, wearing a diaper only for naps and at night. He’s started holding his poops, until the point they have to come out so they hurt when they do. Do you have any suggestions?

- Suddenly my 14 month old no longer lets me put him down for nap(s)–as in screams and arches his back as soon as he sees where we’re going. However, his dad still has the magic touch and can usually get him down. I’m wondering what I can do to re-establish my napping relationship with him. I don’t feel like I’ve done anything differently as far as the routine, and have been following his cues towards the slow transition to one nap.

- We just spent a week visiting grandparents. Since we got home, my 18 month old son seems bored with his toys. His grandparents entertained him more than I do. How do I get him back to his usual playing on his own?

- What are some gentle and compassionate suggestions for weaning my almost 2 year old nursing toddler? Even the mention of postponing a nursing session to a more convenient, private time brings on tears and distress.

- My 25 month old is learning to use the potty. He likes to wear underwear and use the potty, though occasionally doesn’t make it in time. My sitter takes care of him at her house. She has wall to wall carpet and recently asked me to get him some training pants. How do I keep the potty learning process consistent for my son and respect her space?
